Traditional Ginger from Mill St. Brewery in Toronto, Ontario

NOTES: Poured to a cloudy light ginger colour with a thin head. Smelled of ginger and a bit of lemon. Tangy ginger in forefront. Slight lemon in background. It was light, crisp and refreshing. It tasted like a light version of Hitachino Nest Real Ginger Brew. I don’t mean light as in flavourless, but like as if it was bottled “Hitachino Nest Real Ginger Brew Lite”. Perfect summer beer for those looking for flavour in their light beer. Overall it was very tasty and I was happy I got it since the keg was empty after filling my growler.

NOTES: I’m not a fan of herbed/spice beers, however I love ginger and pretty much anything Hitachino Nest does, so I was conflicted going it. Pours to a gingerbread house brown with a carbonated white bubbly head that laced the glass all the way down. Smell was of gingerbread too, although subtle. Taste was a lot of ginger up front, with a sweet malt at the back. After a while however the ginger settled, either because I got used to it or as the beer warmed up. Overall I was presently surprised and I highly recommend.
